Residents of District 2 and Lyon County,
I've lived in the heart of Lyon County in the rural area of Silver Springs for over 25 years. As a native Nevadan I grew up in this great state with all its beauty and outdoor experiences, especially hunting and fishing. At an early age values were instilled in me for the love of country, and respect of my elders. I may have been born in Reno, but I have made Lyon County my home because of its diverse communities and cities surrounded by rural open spaces.
Lyon County is growing and as we all know that will continue to present many challenges at the County level. Informed steady leadership is needed to successfully guide Lyon County forward. In the June primary there will be a clear choice for Commissioner in District 2. My experience and in-depth understanding of current Lyon County issues will enable me from day 1 to serve well our diverse communities through this period of growth.
I have served on our local Water Board for 11+ years, Chaired the Silver Springs Advisory Board for 15 years and our Central Lyon County Parks Board for 14. I served as the Chairman of the Lyon County Republican Central Committee for 4 years and prior to that Vice-Chair. I now serve our Republican platform in the capacity as Vice-Chair of the Nevada Republican Rural Caucus.
I'm a general contractor and together with my wife Vida we have served our community and county right alongside many of our Lyon County residents. I believe volunteers are the life blood of our communities and they all deserve our gratitude and respect.
This June mid-term primary is as important as we've maybe ever had here in Nevada. Please take the time to either meet, reach out to, or research the many Republican candidates running both locally and statewide.
Thank You for your consideration,
Scott Keller
